Conrad Painting always looks forward to this project every October. We continue to try to better the previous years performance of this project. The project includes the blasting and coating of the interior of the Penstock. The project must be completed within 5 days working around the clock.
This project presented many new endeavors for Conrad Painting including the registering of Conrad Painting Inc. in the United States as well as dealing with new Unions, Taxes, Lawyers, Workers Compensation and Immigration. This project was the start of our working in the United States and understanding the differences between the working in Canada and the United States. Fortunately, we were able to perform a job that was very familiar to us in the painting and coating of a Water Treatment Plant. Treatment plants became a main staple for Conrad during the 80 s and early 90 s and continue to be a large percentage of our work.
